Hot Stone Massage

 Feeling stressed? Need to relax?

Treat yourself to a Hot Stone Massage!

Imagine the benefits of being soothed by this slowed down en
ergy, by the  firm yet gentle pressure of these perfectly heated stones. Full Body Hot Stone Massage not only provides intensely deep relaxation but also enables a client to enter into a deep space for healing within minutes of its application due to the physiological response to the heat. I use rocks the rocks as extensions of my hands for most of the massage, and some stones also will be placed on your body, or over the sheet, to keep you warm. I also use an integrated approach— from subtle energy techniques such as Reiki and Crystal Healing, to deep Shiatsu-Acupressure techniques. People touched by this technique value it for more than just its physical rewards; many praise it for the entire experience—a complete body, mind, and spirit treatment.

  DeepStone® LaStone Therapy
DeepStone® therapy incorporates Neuromuscular Therapy along with Geo-Thermo-Therapy
to realign muscle fibers, decongest muscle tissue, release deeply-held patterns of tension, and remove toxins.

Over time, deepstone® therapy facilitates the reduction of scar tissue as well as adhesions caused by trauma and/or injury through the use of Cross Fiber and/or deeper friction circles. Since a deepstone® massage usually focuses on a specific area; this may cause some soreness after the massage.

DeepStone® Therapy uses an assortment of marble stones, which are chilled to 32º Fahrenheit and applied to a constricted area. The benefits of applying chilled stones to an isolated area are: first, it will decrease inflammation. Second, when used long-term, this encourages the body’s internal response to return to “Homeostasis”, thus encouraging the body to begin the heating process by way of sending a fresh supply of warm blood to that area. Lastly, in so doing, it creates an environment of durable hyperemia rich in nutrients and oxygen.

A highly effective technique used in deepstone® therapy sessions is referred to as Piezoelectric Effect: (pronounced pea-aye-zo-electric) a rhythmic tapping of two stones or crystals to create a resonance of sound waves; a flash of light and a burst of electricity into or over the body for deep penetration into the muscle fibers, bones and the nervous system. Not only does this technique have a dramatic effect on the nervous system, in releasing stubborn trigger points, but it also affects the point of muscular tension as well.

DeepStone® and any hot stone therapy session will dehydrate the fascia (connective tissue), muscle tissue and will increase perspiration during the treatment, so it is important to drink plenty of water before and after a session.
